Christmas trees

Weihnachtstisch1Our Christmas tree is not yet put up but lots of them already assembled on our livingroom table for tea time. On the plates you find some lovely gingerbread trees decorated with green icing sugar. In the cups I placed some treelike folded napkins. The give away for every friend is one of my fabric Christmas trees held by a cinnamon bar. Place holders are common German Froebel paper stars. I found a really fine instruction at craftideas. I followed step 1-24 and then cut off all remaining strips except one. This one should be shortened, folded aside and then marked with the guest’s name. A little coniferous “woodland” forms the center piece of my table. The folded trees are made of Christmas papers matching with the colors of table cloth, papernapkins and gingerbread trees. Free template here. To leave enough space for a large cake and different cookies the only flowers are two Christmas roses in a test glass. For this purpose I dabbed the contours of my creamy stars in a dark mocca and made it twinkle by applying some golden glitter. Besides the inevitable Christmas cookies there will be a Sacher cake with whipped cream.
