\"Beutel3\"<\/a>Being an avid crafter I’m always looking for what like-minded people are doing. Reading Lola Nova’s blog I found this wonderful instruction<\/a> for an easy-peasy tote bag. Quite often I already stumbled over a heavy jeans cloth that was planned to become a long skirt but never did. The firmness of this material is perfect for a bag that has to carry home 2-4lb of potatoes or other heavy things. That’s why I decided to cut off the necessary length for such a tote. Like Antonia, she wrote a German instruction, I love neatly worked objects and therefore took a cotton cloth to sew a second inner tote.\u00a0 That prevents annoying seems or unraveling allowances. The original instructions are very clear so that I followed them step by step. I made two little changes however. I hate searching my house keys so that I took a key ribbon with carabiner, placed it between the two layers of my cotton cloth and fixed it when sewing the side seams of the bag. In addition I made a little bag for my mobile phone. (total up width and thickness of your mobile and add 0.5″ seam allowance) Cut out cloth twice, place right side against right side and sewleaving one side open. Then turn inside out and fold in allowance of open bottom. Before fixing it it might be helpful to hold the tote in your hands once to see where exactly the handy bag needs to be placed so that it won’t drop out lateron.
